Programme Outline
Geospatial Developers Forum will be held under the umbrella of Map World Forum 2009 on12 February 2009 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad, India. This event is not only an opportunity for developers, but it is equally important for the GI Technology providers as it will enable them to showcase their offerings in terms of programming components, support, training etc, for the developer community. For the Geospatial companies this event will act as a forum to reach the existing users and inform them about the latest offerings. In addition it should attract a larger group of developers who provide solutions using other technologies apart from GIS.
The forum is designed in such a way that it covers all the aspects of GI-Software Development.
The aspects that will be addressed at the forum include:
- Geodata – the changing face of place
- Developer offerings – latest offerings to developers from various geospatial vendors
- Application development – increasing opportunities for application in various verticals and the challenges posed.
- Geoweb – the changing face of the GI-web world, increasing demands for standards
- Geo-Mobile – What’s new in the mobile world and the move towards location aware mobile applications.
The Forum offers a unique opportunity to industry for exploring technical and human resources required to execute their projects. The event will have technical talks by the CTO’s and technical directors of various Geospatial companies. It will be followed by dedicated sessions on application development for various verticals, highlighting issues and challenges for these verticals. The event will facilitate collaboration and coordination between various domains, trying to bring out a harmonisation of thoughts and a discussion of the issues involved.
