Map World Forum will not just be a conference. It will be a forum that will simply aim to “Converge Ideas and Expand Horizons for Sustainable Planet Earth”. It will aim beyond speeches and discussions to find practical ways to protect the earth and improve people's lives. Its mission, therefore, will be to encourage the geospatial family and the society at large to function in ways that protect the Earth's natural environment and its capacity to provide for the needs and aspirations of present and future generations.
We, at GIS Development, firmly believe that people are inspired by ideas, empowered by knowledge, and moved to act by visions and goals. Map World Forum, therefore, is essentially designed to provide a facilitative atmosphere to the global leaders (who are entrusted with the responsibility for creating a sustainable development model) and the stakeholders of the geospatial industry for fostering cooperation amongst them, for encouraging exchange of ideas, for sharing knowledge and experiences, and lastly for setting the wheel of policy and institutional change in motion, that will eventually foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development.
